Storing sausages in a dry environment and avoiding moisture is important, moisture can lead to the growth of bacteria and mold on the sausages, which can affect their texture, taste, and overall quality. Sausages may become slimy or develop an off-putting odor and flavor when exposed to excess moisture.
Moisture encourages the growth of microorganisms that can spoil the sausages. This can lead to them going bad faster and becoming unsafe to consume.
Sausages are particularly susceptible to mold growth in damp conditions. Mold not only affects the appearance of the sausages but can also produce mycotoxins that can be harmful if consumed.
After the water content test, we learned that the water content of the sausage is about 10%. At the same time, we found that the customer’s sausage usually has two packing specifications, one is 5kg and the other is 10kg. The sausage will be sealed with a transparent inner bag, and then packed in a carton. The overall storage and transportation environment is sealed.
Because the water content of sausage is relatively high, conventional desiccants cannot absorb so much water efficiently, so we have customized a desiccant for customers, which we call Super Absorbent Polymer Desiccant, which is made of 80% super absorbent polymer and consists of 20% silica gel, packed in non-woven fabric.
This desiccant comes in small packages, 4 packages for 5kg sausage, and 8 packages for 10kg sausage, after using the Absorb King desiccant, the sausage no longer has mold, and the sausage still maintains a good flavor after storage and transportation.
